Sustainable Formations was founded in the spirit of active social justice and community development. In addition to offering supplies and monetary  support to local groups, our goal is also to raise awareness about organizations, initiatives, and projects that support the community. If you are connected with an organization or program that would benefit from a donation drive or other volunteer-driven event, send us an email at: info@sustainableformations.com.

Donation drive to support MIlwaukee Public Schools

We’ve been collecting school supplies for La Escuela Fratney, a dual language program in Milwaukee. For every dollar donated in supplies, an equal donation match is given to another MPS site in the form of new books. One contribution benefits two schools! Let us know if you’d like to participate!

COMMUNITY LEARN-IN SERIES ON CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

HOSTED BY MILWAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY

In partnership with EduStar Consulting, our nonpartisan civic engagement series offered a refresher course in how our government works. Participants first learned about the functions of local, state, and federal government agencies while also identifying their representatives. In a later session, participants reviewed the branches of governments and received profile information regarding the current Cabinet members. The overall goal of the Community Learn-In series was to empower participants to fully engage in the political process.

Walker's Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) provides community-based arts programming for local students. We had a great time supporting WPCA's mission by collecting art supplies for their summer classes--everything from colored Sharpies to construction paper to hand soap.
