Amanda Seppanen’s passion for educational equity and community development prompted her to launch Sustainable Formations, LLC in 2016. The guiding philosophy of Sustainable Formations is best introduced through our mission statement: In the spirit of active social justice, we work to strengthen communities by engaging families, schools, nonprofits, organizations, and local project leaders so that all people may have access to high quality education, social services, and economic opportunity.
Meet Amanda
Amanda’s previous professional experience includes work in urban and suburban settings as an English teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator. After ten years in traditional school settings, she founded Sustainable Formations in hopes of supporting more students and schools. Her passion for educational equity also prompted her to launch Azora Books, a discount children’s bookstore that serves schools and families across the country.
